Blues decline. We are not trading Parayko. Ceci is meh, Lavoie is meh and hasn't done anything at the NHL level and hasn't dominated at the AHL level. The 1st is interesting if it remains high but you would probably put protection on it which lowers the value.

Lavoie was just named player of the week in the AHL… oilers wouldn’t put trade protection as they expect to make playoffs. Blues can bet on if oilers are contenders or pretenders either way they go into the draft with 2 firsts 3 seconds. Ceci obviously is a step down but not like he’s a bum. He’s played top pair minutes on a team that’s had a lot more success in recent years. Half the annual cost with less than half the term remaining no trade protection.

Bruh. This is not even remotely tempting for a player who is not available.

Being named AHL player of the week isn't that impressive. Dudes 23 and hasn't dominated in the AHL. He's more of a bottom 6 player in the NHL. Also if the Oilers make the playoffs then the 1st isn't that appealing at all. Like getting a potential top 5 pick is the only appealing thing about this offer and I doubt the Oilers will end up in that position. So getting a meh prospect and a 1st that could be anywhere from a lottery pick to a late pick isn't appealing for us to downgrade from Parayko to Ceci. Anyway the blues have no intention of trading Parayko as seen by the comments that have been made and the types of trades the blues tried to get done in the summer which involved getting a partner for Parayko.
