His trade value is probably less than the value he brings on the ice. NYR would want a C/RW or a 1st round pick + for him.

Since he already playes Rw and doing a okay job I do not see the need. And 1st round pick does not help with cup now chase

A realistic cost would be a massive overpayment. Rangers haven't given up on him and hes looked better the last two weeks than he has in a long time. Picks don't help the Rangers right now, hes playing top 6 mins, so they'd need a roster player back to fill that role and he would have to fit under the cap. Rangers have less than 90k in cap space last time I checked.

It is not going to be a cost that you want to pay. Laffy has looked great this season with Panarin, looks 100% engaged, and is noticeably every game. It'll cost at MINIMUM Zary + 1st
