You do realize that Foegele was on the Canes before he went to Edmonton, right? In terms of quality, he is a 3rd liner, but on the Canes, with the wings as loaded as they are (and Foegele not being a C) he would be the 13th forward. One of the biggest reasons as to why he was moved in the first place was because he was unhappy that he had no room to play up in the lineup. Better to keep Coghlan (who has really found his game with Springfield) as the 8D in case of injuries, than utilize more cap to bring back someone who will just join Lemieux in the press box.
