Klingberg - Campbell - De Haan

Created by: yikes
Team: 2023-24 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 9, 2023
Published: Nov. 9, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
SJS
  1. Klingberg, John
  2. Tverberg, Ryan
  3. 2024 1st round pick (TOR)
TOR
  1. Duclair, Anthony ($1,500,000 retained)
  2. Rutta, Jan
Additional Details:
Someone earlier suggested the D SJS send is Knyzhov which if thats what your heart desires just swap him out in this deal. But he is a left shot, generally LD. Leaves are moving a RD, so I am giving them a RD - chosing the "best" out of Burroughs Rutta and Emberson. Again if the Leafs want Knyzhov or Emberson - take em instead.
2.
SJS
  1. Campbell, Jack
  2. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
  3. 2025 3rd round pick (EDM)
  4. 2026 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Lets end it here, take a lowball with asset with Campbell to just collect more picks and speed up our timeline.
EDM
  1. Kähkönen, Kaapo
Additional Details:
TBH, I don't see Blackwood being traded unless its an overpay at this point in time. So to stop the bickering about values in a Campbell deal lets send Kaapo whos been solid but not as phenomenal as Blackwood.
3.
SJS
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
PLACEHOLDER TEAM - PLACEHOLDER TEAM
EDM
  1. Barabanov, Alexander
  2. 2024 5th round pick (PIT)
4.
SJS
  1. De Haan, Calvin
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (TBL)

San Jose is a pretty good place to live. A ten teams NTC for Campbell and Klingberg would look like that :
Other 6 Canadians teams
Arizona
Detroit
Buffalo
Philly

I’m also pretty sure they would want to go to a place where they will play a lot

Are you actually saying that neither Campbell or klingberg would waive for a 2nd place team in the Atlantic in Detroit? Considering that Campbell is from Detroit and it's been reported numerous times last year that klingberg wanted to sign with Detroit. I'm pretty sure both in a heartbeat would waive for Detroit then San Jose.

laugh San Jose has been garbage for the past few years, So i'm pretty sure that Campbell and Klingberg took into account that they're garbage.

So has Detroit Ottawa Buffalo Arizona Vancouver Columbus Nashville Anaheim - does that mean theyre all bad teams and not desirable to play for??? your logic is flawed and your fragile ego is showing

And all of those teams are coming out of major rebuilds, San jose is just starting theirs. So your logic is even more flawed.

Lol.. well as you can see from a quick google a handful of those teams are still struggling and EDM last years contenders are floundering. Players don't just go on capfriendly and try and guess whose going to suck based on consensus/ cap structure before they submit their MNTC list.

Players usually submit lists based on emotion (example being Gaudreau signing in CBJ which no one saw coming) / locale then trying magically guess who will suck again. Theres a reason why it's generally assumed most Canadian cities are on a MNTC for players. Escape the winter.

again you're lookin like your walking into walls here. lookin foolish brother.

It's just as likely to assume SJS isn't on their list as it is to assume it is lmao

And like the other dude points out ice time is a major factor. You aint moving Reimer or Husso for Campbell lmfao so why would he want to play in there?

Detroit is the second most boring city in america. Klingberg wouldn’t even be a regular in Detroit’s blueline. Pretty easy pass for me. Campbell would be the third goalie. Also, the list are made before the start of the season and Detroit was supposed to be 7th (and they will probably finish around that considering their play recently).

laugh Sure man, You probably have never ever been to Detroit before, Because it's hardly a boring city. There are tons of things to do. And Detroit is a up and coming city.

Considering Campbell is already on the NHL's worst team, the Sharks would be an improvement.

Campbell would waive since he'd then be in the NHL. Klingberg likely wouldn't waive. Yes, he's on a one-year deal, but he wants to win.
