I think the leafs pass on Dube, especially with the breakout of that 3rd line of Robo - Domi - Jarny. I think they would want Z and Tanev for a 1st - prospect and a pick. Money has to work obvi.

Did you forget to include Jiricek, Svozil, and Dumais in that CBJ trade?

It's really not close at all. I'd kill for CBJ to say yes to that, but trading two young players with tons of potential for a rental is downright stupid.

Sillinger hasnt done s---t since getting drafted and KJ is the single most overrated u22 forward in hockey. Hes good and has produced solid. But they treat him like hes a superstar prospect who has already put up a 90 point season. Would I do this deal as CBJ? Probably not, but the value is not insanely off

We’ve (Jackets fans here, I mean, but also Flames fans) pretty much all agreed Sillinger plus for Lindholm is acceptable. Kent Johnson is not the plus.

Why did I even bother? I know very well you’re the resident Jackets expert around here. You’re super right, the worst team in the East is definitely giving up the fifth and twelfth overall picks from two years ago for a rental this season.

Sillinger had 16 goals as a rookie, clearly he has the ability, he just has to learn to overcome, He's just 20 and was rushed IMO. Johnson put up 40 points as a rookie, so clearly he has ability too. As for most overrated, I feel like that's a massive stretch.

I could see an extended Lindholm for a top 10 protected 1st and Sillinger, but I can't even imagine we'd be able to get Johnson straight up, but I'm sure Conroy would ask about him. I personally feel like the Red Wings and Rangers are more likely destinations for Lindholm. The Rangers could definitely use him on RW
