I'd want the Devils to consider moving Schmid for a 1st, in a vacuum at least. But the timing isn't great to be trading a goalie right now as Schmid is probably the best one the Devils have in the organization and they have just entered their window of contention. It's a fair offer for Schmid but I don't see the fit here.

I’m not sure if the Blues do take that and run. We effectively then have no starting goaltender. We’d have Hofer and Subban as a tandem. Hofer has been pretty good for us. But he’s only played 12 NHL games. That’s a very large risk.
