Why Forsling? I don't mind his game and he is a serviceable NHL Defenseman but I am curious your thoughts on how he would add to the AZ roster?

Moser is criminally underrated. He is a guy that should be locked up for 5-6 years and if we can do it for around 4MM a year it would be amazing. He is the guy that goes over the boards every time there is a superstar on the ice and he generally neutralizes them during their shift.

A lot of the 2 year contracts for the AHL/fringe NHL guys should be shortened to one year. Keep em hungry.

Admittedly I don't watch much Arizona hockey so any judgements I have made could be in poor taste. But, ultimately I went with Forsling mostly based off the fact that I believe that he is a reliable somewhat young two-way dman. Most of the other UFA dman candidates will be 30 or older, and with Arizona likely having some money to spend, I don't think it would be wise to give an older dman a big contract when you are likely multiple years away from being a real playoff threat. I'd have to agree with you on the Moser take, I just thought that maybe a bridge until his last year of RFA eligibility would be in the best interest of both parties.
