Massive overpayment. Zadorov will fetch a 2nd at best, not the equivalent of 2 1st's. Yes Niemela is a 1st, at least in the Leafs eyes. He could be a cheap contract on the big club as early as next year, which could be even more valuable than a late first round pick to them.

Niemela is worth keeping, look at the list of former top defenceman from the world Juniors and tell me he's not going to be an effective top 4 defenceman one day. Keep and develop him or we'll regret it. Robertson is likely most valuable to the Leafs in a trade. Not for Zadorov though he will cost much less.
