67 games last year averaged 20 mins , had 16 points, 120 Blocks 217 hits.
So a good tough 3rd pair that can move up if needed in a pinch.

As much as I like Liljegren we need to add the type of defense we NEED.
I know Liljegren is a bit better but we need more physical defense.
This way we are trading him for a young defense as well , Fehervary is 24.

As a Caps fan who loves Marty (a legit shutdown top 4 guy), I love Lilly more. I'd take that trade.

I really like Liljegren but for some reason he gets hurt a lot.
He has bad luck or something.
Plus even though he trys to throw hits and be physical he can NOT clear the front of the net to save his life and is just not the physical defense we need.
Not blaming this current injury on that because that was dirty can opener / slew foot by Marchand but still sucks.

He’s definitely on the softer side but whatever you’re gaining in physicality, you’re probably losing in puck movement. I like the idea of beefing up the defence, just dont think this is the way to do it.

I would not like to lose Liljegren but if we did it should be for a young physical shut down type that we need which Fehervary is.
Think this actually suits both teams better.

I think its probably close but my guess is both the caps and leafs would rather just stick with their guys for the year
