NHL wouldn't approve that...it's clear circumvention of the CAP

they cannot trade a player and receive said player with retained salary until one year has passed since the trade has been made

Hawks would never do this, Kruger isn't worth even $1M.
Pokka is worth a lot right now.
NHL would veto this trade.

Pokka is worth nothing - he's too slow to play in the NHL. Kruger at $1.5m is great - one of the best shutdown center in the league. Seriously, watch how Q deployed him: most DZS, good quality of competition, and he always put him out there with Toews or Anisimov instead of their LW to help transition out of the DZ or NZ.
