Description
Trade with DAL
DAL are deep in C. Perhaps they're interested in quick winger and defensive D with Cup experience to accomplish D corps.
PIT get defensive C who can produce offensivley and a local D to add grit.

Trade with VGK
Not all sure about adequecy of the trade. But Eakin had a poor season and could be moved for a fair price. They are overloaded D with Schmidt being RFA. Peraps VGK are more interested in prospects rather then roster players but I think Hagelin could be useful as the primary PK element and due to his experience.

Eakin plays on Malkin's wing to do the 2-way job and help with the face-offs. The line-up could be the other way and more deep placing Rust to the 2nd instead of Eakin and Eakin to the 4th instead of Rowney with Wilson and Reaves.
Bringing back Jokinen is also possibility as he has shown chemistry with Malkin.

I hate that Dallas trade as much as I like it. Cole is so underrated it's not funny. Sub in Maatta, retain about 500k if need be but....

That's a pathetic return for Schmidt. He doesn't want to give Schmidt up anyway.

See your point but Faksa is a cornerstone of this trade for us. We can loose Cole for nothing and we have already got Hunwick as his prototype of defensive D, maybe less physical but providing the same functionality. We could have used Maataa in future, we've got him for 5 years.

I think we can be trading partners in some way. They are overloaded. If I'm not mistaken they have 8 defenders on roster and 2 RFAs. Let's see what that will be with them in the nearest future.
As far as I can see Vegas now dumps roster players for mid-round picks but won't be surprised in they'll have quality roster players and prospects though.

Totally behind you on Faksa but Maatta is already 22, slow and getting slower every year. Cole at 28 is, and has been, getting better within the system. Hunwick is not much more than solid 5-7 D because they thought they couldn't afford Hainsey.

Well as far as I've heard they want to make the team younger and refresh it. They didn't consider Hainsey to stay not to mention he doesn't fit Sullvan's style. Hunwick might be not much more than solid 5-7 D but he's got speed and first pass coach needs from a mobile D. Let's hope he'll show stability through the season. As for Cole yes he is not old and quality D after all but will command the nearly the same that Dumoulin is about to get. Looks like it's "nothing personal, just business" thing both from org and a professional.
