Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
SEA
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
With Kakko going to LTIR they could look for some more depth scoring
NYR
  1. Eberle, Jordan ($2,750,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Eberle is in the last year of his deal and I dont think the Kraken should sign him long term given his age and the amount of prospects in the system
2.
SEA
  1. Mantha, Anthony
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (WSH)
  3. 2024 5th round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Wennberg shouldn't be in the long term plans for the kraken so they should grab some assets in exchange
WSH
  1. Wennberg, Alexander ($2,250,000 retained)
Additional Details:
With Backstrom out the Capitals could use a little extra center depth if they are trying to push for the playoffs. They also get out of the Mantha deal

I'd take that caps trade. If it helps, you wouldn't have to retain on Wennberg either.

I don't think the Caps would accept this because of how McMichael and Lapierre have stepped up. The forward room is going to get even more crowded when Pacioretty returns and DC already has a lot of middle 6 forwards. I imagine another team will go for Wennberg, but not Washington. (also won't need Mantha going back with the backstrom LTIR space, and Mantha's played well this year)

That's totally fair, I will admit to not watching that much of the caps this year so I'll trust you on that. I do think Wennberg could get a comparable return somewhere else, and when I looked at depth charts without watching much caps I figured they might have been interested
