Projected Cap Hit Prior To Days Remaining : $85,899,333

I think the lineups will be set for the most part this season. Not much we can really change with being against the cap. The only change that can happen though is the blueline. I think POJ is going to be moved or waived for sure. But after that just what can be done? We could target an affordable defensive 3rd pairing guy if wanted. Or do we just stick with Shea/Ludvig/Ruhwedel on the third pair? I’ve also been wondering cause I haven’t caught many pens games this year but who would be the better d-man to go with. Shea or Ludvig?
I'm still a little pessimistic about our bottom 6 and 3rd pairing.
I think it's still possible to sign Ethan Bear, who I think would be an upgrade to Ruhwedel at RD3 to pair with Ludvig/Shea. Alternatively, Urho Vaakanainen has been a pretty effective shutdown defenseman so far, and trades with the Ducks have a decent track record recently.
On forwards, I'm a big fan of Justin Danforth in CBJ. I remember recently Sid calling him tough to play against.
Nashville also has a couple options that I think are solid. Tomas Novak is the favorite, but for cheaper options, you could do worse than Michael McCarron or Kiefer Sherwood.

I'm not pessimistic about the third pair, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dubas make a move there though, especially with Pysyk going elsewhere.
As far as the bottom-six, I think it's a given that Dubas will have to address the scoring issue there. I wouldn't expect anything major because of the cap constraints, but I could see him making a slight upgrade there.
