If Edmonton traded for Elvis, this is probably about what it would take. I'd rather leave Kuraly and Kulak out of it, the 2024 1st to dump Campbell, and probably the 2024 2nd to buy Elvis, with retention, to even out the cap hits. Both unprotected; if you think you're a goalie away from the playoffs, prove it and leave the picks unprotected.

Words have meanings. Elvis is not a cap dump, as Columbus doesn’t need the cap space for a different move, and he is the better goalie in the trade. He does have a high cap hit, sure, but moving it from a position of strength (which Columbus would be doing here) means that he is by definition not a cap dump.

I agree Elvis is the better goalie but not by 2 1sts. Oilers move out 5mil to take back full 5mil and 2 1sts. makes no sense! If Jackson would ok this deal he should be fired immediately
