It will be interesting to see how he does, considering he has been out of the game for over a year and a half now. He would be a solid add, if he can play like he used to!

This d core was so nice when you had Kylington healthy and Zadorov on it.

I can see Calgary selling hard this deadline and going back to being competitive next year.

He won't start in the NHL, he will 100% get a conditioning stint in the AHL first.

It's never been an issue with his fitness though. So it's not like he's out of shape. His best friend committed suicide and he didn't pass the mental exam before training camp this year.

I think it will be a 2 year process at least. No matter how you put it the team is going to need to get a bona fide 1C after Lindholm is moved. Maybe Zary becomes that but I think his Ceiling is Scheifele but more likely Brock Nelson

Absolutely. Going into the season, I thought Calgary should extend Lindholm and Hanifin and sell Tanev, Zadorov and Backlund. It kept their star players and sold their very good players for a nice return. Of course since then Backlund extended and got the C. I just think they could have squeazed out a late first for Backlund and selling him was the better option.

Now it's clear they will and should sell Hanifin, Tanev and Lindholm, since they need the draft capital but it leave them will a big hole at C. It will be interesting to see how they re-tool this year and into the offseason.
