I think the Wild lose. The way Bill Guerin is building that team, they need the guys like Hartman and Foligno, and I'd keep Boldy over Guentzel, personally (he's younger and projected to be the same kinda guy offensively, eventually).

Uh, the answer you're looking for is....

H - E - L - L NAH.

Minnesota doesn’t consider this.

1) Guentzel is 29. Boldy is 22. That's a 7 year difference there bub.

Minnesota doesn’t trade Boldy for Guentzel straight up. Why for all that is holy would Minnesota give up a young star player that is already under contract long-term at a great price and won't be Guentzel's age until 2030? Which is coincidentally when his contracts up.

Besides, the only player Minnesota considers moving Boldy for is Prime Age Crosby.

2) Ryan Hartman is in this deal. That puts the value that Pittsburgh is acquiring way into underpayment category.

Cap dumps, players on the downturn of their careers, and prospects who are already lesser quality than what's currently in Minnesota's system doesn’t get this done. The ONLY piece remotely interesting here is Guentzel and Guerin doesn't consider moving Boldy for him.

Guntzel extended or not, Minnesota isnt giving up Boldy, foligno and hartman. Hartman and foligno also just signed 4 years extensions and have complete. Not even a free agent to be in Nylander will ever get a player like Boldy one for one extended or not. So Minnesota says no. Foligno and Hartman says no. Then in addition, you sent a bunch of cap dumps to Minnesota to take on. Not only underestimating wild players, but a total win for Pittsburg. Gm Bill Guerin denies this deal from the beginning

So what you're saying is, there is a chance?

Oh well, swing and a miss on this one. Just trying to think of something no one else has done.... back to the drawing board!

For the record, the pick was included to off set the Carter cap add to make the $$$ work since both are so close to the cap. But I get I whiffed on this
