IF the leafs are going to advance, changes need to be made. I happen to think Woll is the real deal and could be a big part of that.... They lack a Norris caliber D, and are currently asking way too much from their current D.... You have EK free to generate offense to the big boys and Reilly on the next pairing... then everyone else just has to play D... I also think moving Nylander is inevitable... Having said that, I don't know where else you get 40G-90pts for $7M

Trade a 1st for tanev not lily obviously goaltending is fine don’t need to make a change plus sharks would decline this and if the leafs sell Willy it’ll be an auction and someone will overpay this isn’t even all of Willy’s value and you throw our best defensive defender in there too lol? Cmon man get a grip

Brodie is not "the best defender" and if he is, there is your problem... I seem to recall him standing like a statue as the season ended last year. Fair Willy would get big return... I think EK65 at $7M is great value. Tanev is not worth a 1st...

Yea... Clearly they think they need an Offensive D... because why sign Klingberg in the first place... PIT is a VERY old team and the wheels are falling off there. Ek65 would produce SO MUCH transition offense for 34/16/91... and if you filled the rest of the Defense with guys like Tanev who is basically Jake Muzzin... you would have toughness with two (44/65) offensive studs. I think Dubas makes changes in PIT to bring in youth and we know he loves Willy. Wouldnt be suprised to see Brodie sign in PIT, and Tanev to sign in TOR

Defence wins championships. I would rather spend money on guys that can play both ends of the ice.
