Thats funny,you want the flames to retain 50 percent,so the leafs can do it. and give the 3rd for a former 2nd pick in minten.you do know Tanev is a elite defensive dman dont you.

Tanev elite? Not even close.

Leafs need defenseman and they are going to have to overpay to shore up the blue line. So ya, Tanev and a pick to Toronto, in return for a teams " 2nd pick " .

sorry guy your way off.tanev brings a 2nd pick plus at the deadline,and yes he is elite on the defensive side of the game. he also brings tons of intangables like character,grit,willing to do whatever it takes.your saying the flames get a former 2nd pick,minten,but to get him they have to give up tanev and a 3rd,sorry but thats not even close to getting a deal done.are you kidding me especially with calgary retaining 50 percent.tree is desperate for tanev but cant afford him right now.

We sure do.Can you describe a better fit for what the leafs need than Tanev? I can see it just being Minten without the 3rd,but with 50 percent retention so the leafs can do it,thats the price.
