Vancouver definitely adds a mid pick imo, Ottawa probably does that if the cap works

If Vancouver adds another pick or two it would be a good trade in my opinion.

I'd prefer to keep Jensen, but the Ottawa trade is pretty good for both sides.

I would rather have Edmonson than Brannstrom, by a long shot too

Edmundson is trash, this makes Ottawa worse, and a 3rd doesn't really make it worthwhile at all.

He sucks and I’m honestly asking what games you have watched that possibly has you thinking that your comment makes any sense

I assume EB is valued around a 2nd / 3rd. Edmondson is a depth player not really adding him for value more to balance the cap. I believe I said I’d be willing to swap it to a 2025 2nd…

They are hardcore pursuing Bear and we need to make a roster spot

How do you quantify that?

Even if it's a 2nd, it's not worth it for Ottawa to a) get worse and b) add significant salary.

If Ottawa wants to move Brannstrom, they can do it any of a number of teams who would be interested. He makes 2mil, not a huge sum, they don't need to take bad money in return

Feels like you are focusing on an aspect of the trade that doesn’t really matter especially if Sens aren’t in a playoff position.

It does matter though? Ottawa's biggest need is to address the defense, and this makes it significantly worse.

He’s a 3rd pairing LSD? You currently have 3 LSD that are miles better? Chychrun Sanderson Chabot. You could easily use the 2nd round pick to obtain a RSD or use the 2+ million in cap space to sign a defender. “Biggest need” you could argue the have the strongest LSD in the NHL lol

Yes, but Jensen is better than Bear. The only point in signing Bear would be to upgrade. Plus, we just committed to Jensen long term earlier this year, it wouldn't look good on the organization to trade him this early.
