Description

The four players below should be traded at the deadline. That would leave Dvorak, Armia, Evans, Pezzetta, and Kovacevic as the only UFA's next year. The checklist in the offseason would be to draft a high end forward with the first round pick, trade for a high end forward, and move Armia. Armia can be added to the trade for a high end forward. I would move Dvorak if they can sign a UFA to replace him such as circling back to Monahan.

A rental Monahan is not worth a 1st, especially to EDM. He’s worth a 2nd. Maybe you could get a 1st from a team at the top of the standings, like COL, but I’d expect a 2nd.

Granlund, Eller and Domi were all traded for 2nd last season. Monahan is better.

We can and will bicker about the value, but I agree these 4 should be traded.

Yea the value or team is not the main focus, I just traded with teams who may want these pieces and for value I think is somewhat realistic.

He fetched a first a couple deadlines ago. He's still solid, but with the cap it might not happen this deadline.
