Description

All the talk of who we want seems to not add in the factors such as CGY , SEA, and EDM are 2 points apart from the 4th spot in division so atm none would sell anything that would not improve roster on the trade.
Since we are not in a position to trade valuable players away at present it makes teams still fighting for playoffs spots very unlikely trade partners.
Right now 5 teams are pretty much completely out OTT, CBJ, CHI, ANA and SJS.
There are a few teams in playoff contention at present that may or may not be willing ot sell based on a realistic expectation of not making it deep even if they do make playoffs.

I am just basing this on the fact there are only 5 teams who are pretty much out of playoffs for sure right now .
And out of those teams Chycrun is my favorite choice.
I agree on righty but Chycrun has played opposite side a fair bit also.
Basically OTT, CHI, ANA, SJS, and CBJ are not making playoffs and MIGHT be sellers.
Any other team will want players to add to roster in the trade not just sell a player for picks and prospects putting us in an even tougher position.

Great player but not the best fit. Also wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa is reluctant to part with him already

sens sucking right now doesn't make Chychrun available. still a good long-term piece for the Sens, just gotta get an actual coach for this team

He would still have a year left after this one. I would imagine everyone in the org would like to see what he can do under a different coach before they trade him. Offer is pretty good though with that being said.

he's an Ottawa lad through and through, and they all know the team is better than the results right now, largely attributable to coaching. any real judgements about this team right now are just talk until they get an actual coach
