TDL moves
tbh I think that as much as I like Forsberg, the 1st and 2nd are the only parts of that Hart trade that carry any significant trade value, so I think that deal is pretty reasonable, give or take a bit of nitpicking at late-round picks or something. But I just don't think Hart makes too much sense for the Sens at this point. quite a bit of money invested in Korpisalo already, and with some young guys knocking on the door, and Hart needing a new contract. think the Sens say no but it isn't particularly unreasonable

The Real Options
"I know Sens fans are gonna overvalue Kubalik" literally no Sens fans particularly value Kubalik at all, and most are happy shipping him out for anything from a 5th to nothing at all. but ultimately, retention is gonna end up being a deal-breaker. the reason to move him is cap space, if they're not really getting any, then there's simply no point

Next Year
I don't think the Sens trade is unreasonable in value, but it just won't happen. Pinto and Ottawa's relationship is arguably even stronger at this point, plus they can now sign him for cheaper than he's worth. and the Sens can't be in the business of losing out on valuable, talented, inexpensive depth at this stage.
trade is reasonably thought out, but especially considering Chabot's value off the ice for the Sens as much as on it, I don't this would have the legs

getting Zub would definitely cost at least a 1st, but the Sens just can't afford to lose him. he's just way too important to the defensive side of the team

crazy creative 3-way Habs Oils Hawks
Credit where it's due, a lot of the time when people do stuff this extravagent it somehow turns into 1 team giving up a 6th rounder and a 4th line bum and somehow ending up with connor mcdavid at the end of it, but this feels relatively even. I'm sure there could be a bit of nitpicking here and there, probably to do with Josh Anderson and his contract, but this is interesting and there isn't some team getting totally hosed or the opposite, on first glace at least. Think the bigger point of contention will be that the Hawks will need more to take Campbell and don't give up the 3rd. Perry is impossible to really say because of whatever the hell is going on with him right now

Pinto
Sens really don't have a reason to do this, Kakko would obviously be fun to take a flier on, but Pinto is such a known quantity and after they've properly stuck by him through the whole suspension debacle, and will now be able to sign him for cheaper than expected as a result, there's really no incentive for the Sens to move on from him. I still think a team (maybe even the Sens!) would do well to give Kakko a shot in a new environment though

Ball In
I somehow just don't think the Sens are gonna sell on Tarasenko, even if they're out of a playoff position at the deadline. think they'll be just trying to make the push up until the last minute. but if they do decide to move him, like, yeah they'll want a 1st and a bit more, and probably have to take salary back. Mantha probably adds like a 3rd or something but I ain't gonna split hairs

open salary cap a bit and open room for younger players
that's good value for the Sens, but not sure that means they do it. a lot of guessing involved, since Joseph has been playing so well recently, Sens would really not want to let him go. but then there's also the matter of moving him while his value is highest, and working out how much they think he'll regress in following years. plus then there'd be needing a new contract for Tanev, etc etc

who say no
Thomson being a RD + having better recent AHL results probably puts his value higher but I also don't think the Sens really care about him at this point so yeah

nope. that's for group 2 RFAs, which Pinto isn't. tbh I don't understand how it works. But Friedman said "the Dec. 1 deadline does not apply to Pinto because he can’t sign an offer sheet."

Trade At TDL
lmao that's an absolutely wild one. I mean Sens gotta take this, unless Vladdy expresses interest in signing a team-friendly extension beforehand, or the Sens are strongly in the playoff picture. Obviously Kakko hasn't been fantastic so far, but that's a chance you take every time

Trade
this is tough because Joseph is on such a heater right now that it'd be really hard for the Sens to move him for a downgrade. trade seems generally reasonable if the Sens keep the 4th, though

I actually really like this idea
you know it's a fun one when fans of both teams go "this is terrible for my team, we would never do that". regardless I think CBJ is probably the one who says no, Zegras is obviously a very talented player who is much better than this season's stats suggest, but there's such a massive premium on players exactly like Jiricek. and we all know the way that teams like to refuse to move their blue-chip prospects. this is a fun and interesting one though

Haven’t really followed Kubalik much. Is he a play driver, shooter, grinder?</div></div>
pure shooter, not much else. not an awful forechecker either, and perfectly capable of passing the puck, just doesn't really do it. really streaky, disappears for games at a time, then goes goal-a-game for the next few
