For his career yes, but not for his play with the Rangers. He has been good for 2-3 games, alright for 5-7 games, but the rest he has been awful.

Ah I see, haven't watched more than 4-5 Rangers games so far, just figured because of Wheelers history and all 🙂 Didn't he kind of get Zibanejad going though?

Mika yes, but Wheeler (while he has not been bad per se in the last 10 games) has not been the force of nature he once was. I like Wheeler, and he brings a very nice dose of very skilled veteran leadership to this NYR team. Wheeler is on this team for 1 reason and that is on this team is to bring a Stanley Cup to NY (so that is why I have classed him as a "filler player").

That's true, he's lost quite a bit of speed over the last years, and doesn't score many goals, but he's still an excellent playmaker which shows from time to time.
I was glad that the Rangers got him and not some mid or bottom team. I would like to see him win a cup this year, if the Jets doesn't ofc 😁
