Not SPAR, SPAR Is a much better indicator of a defenseman's impact than any statistic you have posted in this thread.

Slavin has 1 less 5v5 point than Dobson and is way better on his own end... Slavin and Skjei don't usually play PP

Dobson has nearly double the Primary EV points than Slavin, since you want to remove PP from the equation.

The analytics back up that Dobson is one of the best offensive defenseman in the league. Both his isolated xgf/60 and GF/60 are among the best in the NHL among defenseman

At 5v5... Skjei has a higher xGF/60 (.29 compared to .19), Slavin has a higher p/60 (1.54 compared to 1.47).

5v5 is the best indicator because that's the normal strength most of the game... EV is an okay indicator... 5V5 is the best but still

Slavin has a better iSF/60, iFF/60, and iCF/60
Skjei has a better iSF/60, iFF/60, iCF/60, and ixG/60

even strength is actually the best indicator. The top analytic platforms use even strength

incorrect on both statements. On ice numbers no better than using +/-

Than at least use the rates to account for TOI

EV strength as a whole is far more valuable than using 5v5.

they do account for TOI ....and teammates, and opposition. You just throw out on ice numbers that heavily depend on what team you play for. you could put Nikita zaitsev on the canes and he'd have decent on ice numbers

Not exactly true... Not everybody has decent on ice numbers for the canes... Ethan Bear and TDA this year come to mind
