Svech is more valuable than Gaudreau straight up... a more desirable type of forward combined with the sandpaper that he brings to the team (168 hits and 91 PIM in the last year+). Andrei is also not as injury-prone as you make him seem... he's only had three injuries his whole career that have caused him to miss time

The canes aren't going to trade away Fast... He's one of the most important members of the team. He's a member of the best defensive line in hockey and our coach (who has great influence on personnel decisions) values that line a lot

I'd agree with that you don't want to gamble on it but the most I'd be willing to pay for hart is probably a second + a prospect

The Hurricanes aren't desperate for a goalie... we have two decent ones who've just had bad starts to the season.

Goalies (with some notable exceptions) aren't worth first rounders due to the nature of the position.

I think that Varlomov would be a good add but I wouldn't add Lindholm to the team unless he's willing to sign an reasonable extension for a middle six center and he's willing to slot in as a 3/4C

They literally are all top 5 in xGA/60, FA/60, and SA/60 for a forward with a minimum 200 minutes played while playing the opponent's best line every single night

Staal is the 97th percentile of all skaters defensively and 2nd best of forwards individually
Martinook is 95th percentile of all skaters defensively and 9th best of forwards individually
Fast is 98th percentile of all skaters defensively and 1st best of forwards individually
