Canucks pass. I don't think there would be that much interest in taking on KK. His defensive metrics have dipped this year and has been a healthy scratch a few times already. not looking promising. if we are going to make a risk on a buy low candidate like this i much rather us spend the extra money on Lindholm assuming he comes in at the 50-56 million range.

Intriguing idea if the Canucks believe Kotkaniemi can be an effective 3C. I think he'd fit our system well and although I'm not sold on his overall ceiling, getting a player signed through his 20s could be better than signing a UFA for that spot.

I'd be happy with that. Even a mid pick given how little '24 picks Van has.



I like the idea that he's signed through his 20s vs signing Lindy through his 30s while also swapping money out for a need. $4.8M isn't all that scary for 3C where as $7M for Lindy is scaring me.

Doesn’t really solve anything for the canes. They need cap relief for this offseason and this doesn’t do that.

If we're moving KK it's to relieve the cap to keep Teuvo AND Guentzel. We can't really afford cap back
