Description
Just putting my opinions out there. Hasn’t changed since prior to the season, the Wings will be improved but still a long shot to make the playoffs. With SY making decisions to get immediate help and letting the prospects develop at their own rate, some moves will have to be made.

Here are some of the players I could see being moved out. As far as returns, it will depend on teams and what is offered.

Personally, I do not see him bringing in defensemen, unless he is moving out a defensive prospect and/or one of the current 7 everyday D.

I could see him target wing prospects and younger, established NHL players, as the C position is covered by the likes of Larkin, JT, Copp, Ras, Veleno, Fischer (current) with Kasper and Danielson on the way.

Just used the Wild as the trade since I follow them somewhat living in Minnesota.

Not all of these players get moved, most likely 2-4. Just a list of players I could see ending up in other sweaters come the TDL.

They spent more in free agency, the traded for Cat and now brought in Kane and they have 1 more pt than last season and are out of the playoffs as we speak. I'm not sure what the plan is for this team but how Edvinsson isn't here by now is bananas

I can see Edvinsson forcing his way up if the current trend keeps going and the team slips further down.

The one change from this season however is the team can score goals. Once the prospects start integrating as every day players is when the shift should start, although it seems like it’s past due (Berg, Soderblom, Edvinsson, AJ).

Other than Berggren and Johansson, I wouldn't mind seeing all those players gone. Kostin I'm not a big fan of anymore. Him and Ras basically average a penalty minute a game each. Last time I checked we were second worst for taking penalties, luckily the best for drawing them. I would really like to see Stevie make moves to acquire players with a focus on faceoffs and defensive play, mostly in the forward position. I think if he gets some help there, it will have a positive effect on our defencemen, who I feel could still be upgraded.
Players I would like him to target would be Faksa, Foegele, Bjugstad, Johansen, Evans, Trenin, Kastelic, Cates, Garland and Dowd.
Other players I wouldn't hate taking a try on are Henrique, Mangiapane, Dickinson, Kuraly.
All of those players either play a really strong defensive game or for some of the centres, are really good at faceoffs.
Defense would be hard to add to this year I think. Alot of teams shopping for defensemen, as per usual. I think any worth while adding will cost too much as the price at the deadline always seems to go up for them.
I would though be interested in taking a chance, if the price is right, on Ceci, Peeke, Carrier, Fabbro, or Jokiharju.
We might be stuck with our D core just because of the term they all have.
Would like to maybe see Edvinsson up, since it seems like they aren't winning games in Grand Rapids right now. Give him a chance and see what he can do.
