Description

The Kings have 3 starting roster players out with injuries (Gavrikov, Arvidsson, Copley). When each of them returns, they'll need to make some moves to fit them back into the lineup.

The next 11 games carry us right to the half-way point (game #41). That stretch could be highly impactful on our playoff positioning at the end of the season.

Of those 11 games, 4 are against sure-fire playoff contenders, 6 are against teams that are seriously contending for a playoff spot, and only one is against an also-ran (tomorrow night's game against San Jose, who usually play us tough).

Moreover, the 6 away games are all on a single lengthy road trip.

From where we are now (42 points), I'd be happy with 6 points from the home games and 6 points from the away games. That would leave us with 42 points to get out of 41 games to attain a presumptive playoff spot (96 points).
