Description
The Kings have 3 starting roster players out with injuries (Gavrikov, Arvidsson, Copley). When each of them returns, they'll need to make some moves to fit them back into the lineup.

After Gavrikov and Arvidsson, Copley is the last to return. Here's the roster and cap situation when he returns.

There is about a $250K savings having Rittich up over Copley. Interested to see if Rittich can manage to be the one kept up, pretty sure Copley would clear with his numbers this season.

The Kings don't have $250k in cap space to spare. The fact that Copley would clear actually hurts Rittich's chances of staying up since the Kings would still be on the hook for $350k of his salary while he's buried.

I get what you are saying, but if using your lineup above, if you send Copley down and bring Rittich up, you have $275K added to your available capspace. Is that not what shows up for you?

Yes, but Rittich still needs to be sent down once Copley is healthy because he's recalled on an emergency loan. When the emergency is over, Rittich must be sent down immediately.

After that, the Kings can evaluate which goaltender they want to run with down the stretch.
