Always a great idea to take your $5M winger with good underlying Corso/xG numbers and a shooting percentage slump and just dump him on the 4th line with Offensive Black Hole David Kämpf and Fast For Nothing Noah Gregor.

Then replace him with a guy that already didn't work on that line before, and pair him with another pass-first guy, I guess they can both just wait for JT to park in front of the net & fling passes at him until something goes in.

Also Samsonov in the AHL only creates $1,150,000 in cap relief, so he counts for $2.4M against the cap, not the $2M listed when he's put on the taxi squad. So ya gotta waive someone else too, or retroactively put Woll on LTIR.

bertuzzi has looked good and the analytics back that up, just because the points haven't been rolling in doesn't mean he should be demoted to 4th line.
