I don't see a world where Lindholm is an upgrade offensively to Strome or Kuznetsov. Similar point totals all around, and Kuzy is great on the PK, even if he is an offensive black hole

The basis of the Calgary trade isn't bad. Jensen is a decent shutdown D and they will need to fill that hole if Tanev is traded. That being said, other teams may be able to offer a 1st and a solid prospect and out bid Washington here.

Lindholm is an excellent two way center. He isn't a liability without the pick. He just lacks talented wingers to play with in Calgary.

Nothing you said there refuted my claim that he isn't an upgrade over Strome or Kuzy. he's scoring at a similar pace to strome and is on the older side. The caps don't need him

Lindholm is a definite upgrade over Kuzy. In the last 5 years (since coming to Calgary), he has more points, more pts/gp a better plus minus, a better GVSA, is younger, and has less of a cap hit.

Similarly, Lindholm is better than strome in every statistic over the same time span. Strome's ONLY advantage is that he is 3 years younger.

He would be tied with Ovi for the Caps leading scorer right now. He's third on the Flames. It's already that world.

I can see an argument that Strome has a more positive trend than Lindholm and has a chance at being better. My fellow Caps fans that don't see Lindholm as a clear and obvious upgrade on current-day Kuzy (it ain't 2018 anymore folks) are simply delusional. It's my dream player-swap scenario given the current options.

I hate to break it to you but Lindholm wouldn't be putting up points on the Caps, the Cap's offense is anemic, much more than the Flame's offense is anemic. if Lindholm and Strome change places, Lindholm puts up a lot less on the score sheet than Strome would with the Flames.
