Philly is in a playoff spot, so they say no, but Konecny would be nice for the Jets.

The other two deals are trades for the sake of making trades and neither player does anything for the Jets.

They are strictly depth trades. They only play in event of injuries. All playoff teams need backups.

I don't think Chevy looks at these trades unless there are injuries.

Those are pretty hefty prices to pay for replacement level players that aren't better than anything the Jets already have though. The Jets could just go with the depth they have.

Perhaps, pretty sure Chisholm gets waived next year and I personally don't believe a 3rd is a lot. I don't see how you think we have a better goalie in the system.

easy no from Philly

Appreciate the feedback. You think Philly could get more for him or they don't intend to move him?

it depends if they're in a playoff spot, if they're not he could be moved I think but it would cost a lot cuz of his control for next year

If the Jets are down to their 3rd string goalie, they aren't winning anyways and a mediocre career backup isn't changing that.

Makes sense. I keep forgetting that they are fighting for a spot.

Any goalie can get hot in the playoffs, backup or not. Lyon's in Florida did very well last year. Georgiev was a career backup in New York and his last year with them had a 898 save percentages until he was traded to Colorado. Guys are in the NHL for a reason and have the capabilities of being good.

But you are correct. If the Jets are down to their 3rd string goaltender, they are in some trouble.

The key point to remember is your first sentence "any goalie can get hot" which is true, so there's the same odds of say Delia getting hot as there is of AN getting hot.

Flyers pass Konecny is having a great season and that return is very underwhelming. We don't need any more bottom pairing defenseman and Lucius has not lived up to his draft position.

Not a great take, Lucuis had been great everywhere he's played since the draft unfortunately he's dealt with injuries each season slowing his transition to higher levels

I'm not claiming to be an expert on Lucuis, and I'm not saying he doesn't have upside. But he hasn't played much and that hasn't helped his development. My biggest point is Lucuis and a 1st isn't remotely enough for Konecny retained at 50%.
