Brodin no, Fleury for cheap I think would help. Fleury struggled in the playoffs for a bit maybe he can help out Vanecek. Just be a veteran in the locker room. Plus outside of Haula and Toffoli; Fleury has played in more playoff games then the rest of the Devils combined.

Correct. Wild also decline this anyway. That's assuming Brodin and Fleury both waive their NMC in the first place.

I'm not expecting him to be the starter, like Quick in NY, Daws or Vanecek the starter Fleury as the backup.

Vanecek is also not good and Daws is probably not ready for a starter role. We need a good goalie, not another bad one
