I think its unlikely this trade in general and at least as unlikely that Calgary retains on Markstrom, but getting out of the last 2+ years of Markstrom's contract, handing the crease to Wolf and getting a 1st and a couple guys they can take a chance on might make sense for the Flames. Leafs aren't exactly in desperation mode for a goaltender right this second, but I think the chance to get a no doubt number 1 guy might be something Treliving considers, and if Markstrom struggles and/or continues to decline, Woll can still take over sometime in the next 2 years. Woll also has another year at under a million left to play with for next year.
