To preface, I'm a Sharks fan. Doing this from the Avs perspective to make sure I don't go over the cap

The Avs will have cap issues if Landy comes back after this trade. They would probably need retention here.

If Landy somehow comes back during the regular season, then that issue still exists with Johansen. They'd need to make another move either way.

Yes, sure, but 1mil more is gonna make it MORE tight.

You'd need to retain 50% on Granlund for the Avs to have any interest.

2.5 mil for a 2C for another year after this would be the cheapest 2C in the league. Avs would have to give up a lot to do that.
