Not bad, mostly reasonable moves

The lines would be switched up a bit though
No reason we’d start a young Ostlund at Center right away,
especially not over Cozens
If we were gonna put Ostlund at Center, it would be on the 4th line & we could move Savoie up to play RW in the top9

Also, buying out Skinner is quite nonsensical- especially at a $4mil Cap hit to do so
If we absolutely need the Cap space, it would make MUCH more sense to just hold the $4mil & move him for assets
OR
Even more likely, we keep Skinner & save the Cap Room we’d need by handing out a few bridge contracts

There’s certainly plenty of options available to us moving forward, but I’d think the most likely would be something like:
Line1- Skinner-Tage-Tuch
Line2- Peterka-Cozens-Quinn
*no reason to switch up the top2 lines if they’re working
Line3- Benson-Mitts-Kulich/Savoie/Rosen
-4th line could be cheap Vets, or some combo of our youth,
something like: Rosen-Ostlund-Savoie might be possible

Sabres cannot buyout Skinner. In crucial 26/27 season his dead cap hit will be 6,4mil. If this biggest dead cap hit was for next season, that will be an option, but he is still good and cap is not an issue, yet.

But preferably it will go like this - Skinner plays next season, and then Sabres will be looking to cap dump his 2 years remaining. Cap hit will be 2x9 mil but only 12 mil in real dollars - definately possible to cap dump him.

Thought about this, but he has a NMC and the teams that can take on that kind of cap dump are typically bad teams, Skinner most likely won't waive to play on a bad team

I was even thinking which team that would maybe and come up with Calgary blowing it up

But Washington going for last hurrah in 25/26 and some assets from Sabres for upcoming rebuilding in 26/27 maybe tempting for them. They should have cap space to absorb him, and I doubt any big name free agent or big trade is coming their way before Carlsson, Ovechkin deal runs out at the end of 25/26.
