A 30-year-old UFA cusp NHLer and a good prospect at our strongest and deepest position aren't the guys we'd want in a Ryan Strome trade.

Gabe Perreault and your 2024 second, plus the 2026 third for four years' retention, is more what I had in mind.

Lol at supposed Anaheim fans rejecting that. I even liked Strome with NYR, but he's essentially a dead cap hit over in Anaheim. Good luck with that contract. You'd have to pay someone to take it or take a bad cap number back
