Description

This team has competed all year I think next year if their young players take a necessary step forward, and add Reinhart, Duclair, and get Dach back up front, with the young defence emerging this team could push for a playoff spot. Montembault is a fine 1A and I’d like to see Primeau get some consistent playing time. Mailloux and Xhekaj have been fun to watch together in Laval and could make a fine bottom pair next year with Mailloux being a help to the power play. These trades is what I’d envision the asking price is around bet if they can get slightly less they should settle for it. I’m not even going to try to predict who they draft cause we know how this goes with the Canadiens…. I’d think they draft a forward with the quantity of defenders in their system

Dallas doesn’t have the cap space to take Savard’s full contract, probably have to take Faksa in return to make the money work. Which is fine for Montreal because Evans has looked good at 3c and while Faksa is overpaid he is a very capable 4c.

Mony should net a late 1st or equivalent, Kovacevic may net a late 2nd or equivalent prospect and although it’d be great to see Allen unretained bring back a third, it may be a little too optimistic but hey I could be wrong.
