He's getting 6-6.5 easily so the Leafs pay the 500k-1m premium for a very good two way D.
He PK's, he adds offence from the blue line which the Leafs need. Perfect fit. Offer 6.5 if its an issue.

He's not good. He was middling in New York and then looks good on a really good team with better players surrounding him. He will never live up to his next contract.

I admittedly don't know who Kartye is but unless he's some extremely highly touted prospect, this deal is a massive overpay. Larsson likely gets a 1st plus but not Minten, he's a prize

The bottom six would be the smallest in the league and #1 in least amount of hits. They get totally dominated in the playoffs by Boston or either Florida team.

Its a moderate overpay and it gets the deal done.
Also if we did sign Domi it could make Minten more expendable

He's arguably their top prospect (although the other argument would be Shane Wright), but the point being, I don't see Seattle giving up their top pair defensemen, and a top 3 prospect for a center prospect, a B-level prospect/3rd pair defenseman, and two draft picks. It doesn't make sense from Seattle's perspective to make this

Shane Wright might not even be as highly touted as Minten is right now. So this is terrible.
