Why do the Canes even consider this? Kakko showed signs of life last year, but is looking like he is back to bust form so far this season. The rest of that package is a bunch of meh. The Canes haves pulled to within 3 points of the Rangers, so there is absolutely no reason the Canes do this.

The Rangers would not consider this deal. However, the Canes should 100%. Fortescue is a solid defensive prospect, and Kakko is still very young and already plays well defensively and in the tight areas. Teuvo is a rental, and we could get much better for Kakko if we do trade him.
