Considering Kakko is kind of a bust(not total bust but definitely disappointing), that 1st is going to be late in the round, and they are retaining salary on TK; that trade doesn’t move the needle in a trade for our best forward. If anything, the flyers will have to give up a 2nd for anyone to take Atkinson’s contract. To think we would get anything back even with the retention is crazy. And trading for a 34 year old with 3 more years left on his contract at 8 million per makes no sense for a team in a rebuild.
