Well yes, but I don’t know if TJ Brodie is a good RHD 🤔
He’s the same age as Tyler Myers .

For 1.25 mil? Of course he is. He's still a solid #4 on a contender at the very least.

Tbh this is wild to say but Van's defense has actually been decent this year and a bottom 4 of Soucy Cole Myers Zadorov has been good enough and doubt its worth giving up a second to add brodie

Okay.
But what’s the reason why Brad Treliving came to the Canucks game yesterday?
Do you have any idea?

Well yes, the defense as a whole has been good enough to make them a cup contender. Being at that level means you should be improving wherever possible to give your team the edge over the other contending teams who will be doing the same. Ian Cole has not been great and is a clear target to upgrade, if you can add Brodie at 1.25 and knock Myers down while bumping Cole out, then a 2nd is a small price to pay; especially considering the cap that could open up as well.

Are you just genuinely asking the question? I do not know why.

Ya but if they are going with the lotto line on the first line, then Van is probably gonna use whatever cap flexibility they have to invest in a 2C

Yeah but I mean replacing Cole with Brodie would only increase their cap flexibility. I think they'd be better off rolling two top 6 lines with Petterson and Miller at center either way.

This is all just my opinion of course.

Oh I forgot to consider the salary retention my bad - I guess yeah it's possible if we need even more cap flexibility to acquire a 2C. Myers is enemy #1 for the cap lol

Yeah for sure, at least he's had a bit of a redemption arc though! I targeted your team because I think you guys could make a legit run; love the roster mix. Would be really interesting to see if you could build a trade around Kuzmenko and E. Lindholm, or something like that....

Glad to see your turnaround this year!
