- DO NOT TRADE ROBERTSON. he’s 22 he needs to play some games AND he’s a cheap option for next season when the leafs r REALLY screwed by the cap

- Tanev and hanifin is 100% possible and realistic.

- I hate david kampf but realistically he won’t be moved

- i also hate reaves but he won’t get moved either

- rielly is a beast

I don't think you're getting both for that, lose steeves or the third and that gets you hanifan with 50% retained. So what are you giving us for tanev?

3rd + steeves. zadorov went for a 3 and 5 without retention.

i’d say a first + cowan is a very generous offer for a guy who’s gonna walk in free agency

if zadorov went to VAN for a 2024 5th and a 2026!! 3rd id say tanev would be traded for relatively the same price

Zadorov was 3rd pair, Tanev is clearly top 4. It's very hard to argue Tanev’s not worth much, when he's in almost every trade.

Conroy traded with Vancouver to save his retentions. This way he can increasing his asking for retention to guarantee a minimum of a 1st for hanifin and Lindholm plus more. His preference for tanev is guaranteed minimum a 2nd plus. Maybe even a first. No way that deal happens.

First things first.
Why would the Leafs trade for Hanifin and Tanev, who play together as the Flames second pair and then split them up right away?
So Dumb.
Stuff like that is why the Leafs can't win.
If they could pry them both out of Calgary keep them together as a pair and you're set.
