Does this trade realistically address Vancouver's need to add centre depth while providing Columbus with a potential middle six centre and top picks

There's no real motivation for the Jackets to trade anyone 23 and younger right now beside Boqvist. Especially not one of their only NHL capable centers and absolutely not for scraps.

Dreaming, they are not trading Sillinger and they shouldn’t. I really like him as a player, and I wanted Vancouver to draft him before they traded their first pick.

1st and 2nd round pick are not scraps. Sasson was someone a lot of teams wanted and projects as a reliable middle six centre. But I would not see Columbus moving Sillinger without an overpayment anyways.

Sorry, but your late 1st and 2nd, 24 y/o winger with 4 NHL games, and your undrafted 23 y/o with 0 NHL games are absolutely scraps when you're trying to pick up a recent 11th OA 20 y/o center that already has nearly 200 games of NHL experience.
