Saros is one of the best goalies in the league now with two years till UFA, Woll is a good prospect who has shown he might be ready, he also needs a new contract in 2 years. If Woll proves himself a starter you can trade Saros again, if he doesnt you have Saros during two crucial years of your teams prime

The leafs aren’t doing any big moves this year brad has literally said he’s just watching the team and figuring out how he can improve the roster for next season, this team doesn’t deserve big spending at the deadline, if they even make the playoffs they lose in the first round

maybe maybe not, but saros and fabbro basically fix two of their biggest issues and have term or control, not to mention that laughton gives them an actual 3C. Is it worth what it would cost? who knows, but like I said in the description, im just seeing what would work for the cap should they want to do something big. It's certainly a better idea than adding washed dudes like MAF, Savard or goodrow like every other leafs amg

Leafs would have to spend 2 firsts++ to get all that which they aren’t even gonna spend 1 1st this team isn’t winning anything brad has already said he’s just watching the team and figuring out how he can improve it over the offseason

Flyers pass, only way Laughton gets moved is for a great offer involving futures.

right, but like I said, if the leafs are gonna spend those 1sts this is the kind of return they should be looking for. People here make leafs agms trading 1sts for monahan and other bad players. You wanna stand pat, ok cool, that's fine. But if you're gonna spend assets the goal should be to improve the team now and for the future and spending a few extra picks or prospects to get actually good players and term or control is how you do it. Tampa went a little crazy with Hagel and Jeanott, but that's how they helped build the depth that won them cups with Goodrow and the like.
