I think it’s fair for both sides, Anaheim gets size, while Vancouver clears cap and gets a RD in return.

It's going to take far more than just the 31st overall pick to get Elias Lindholm out of Calgary, Craig Conroy will get a better offer than this for EL.

Why do you think so? He’s a rental who the Canucks are gonna get for one year, everyone knows he’s getting moved, giving the flames no leverage.

Indeed they also get a lot more cap space

We might even be able to retain Myers and flip him as well

Lindholm's price is the same as Horvat last year. He doesn't have near the goal scoring ability that Horvat does, but he makes up for it by being a Selke-calibre player.

Horvat @ 25% was traded for 1st + Raty + Beauvillier (cap dump) and the pick fell in the late 10s. The Canucks' 1st is projected to be late 20s.

VAN would require Lindholm to be retained 50% (possibly double retention, too).

One thing I've heard is 2025 1st + 2025 2nd + Bains or Raty + Hirose for Lindholm @ 50%, with a condition on the 2nd that if VAN makes the Conf. Finals the 2025 2nd becomes the 2024 1st.
