I think Tatar is an amazing idea, but I don't think he'll be that expensive. Throw in a prospect instead of Gallagher like Fucale or a young D and it should be fine as Detroit is trying to get younger. Plus they don't have the capspace to resign Tatar and Asthanasiou, so you don't have to give much because it is already helping them.

If all you're signing him for is a 4x4 we wouldn't need to make a trade for cap in the first place.

Thanks for the help guys! It's hard to evaluate value and stuff as an Armchair GM. I figured he has consistently less than 50pts per season, so I gave him under 5m (though knowing 4m might be lowball). I'll keep this in mind for the next team.
