out of these "top targets" i think they most beneficial and realistic would be eberle. at 50% retained, they could make it work. in an ideal world, moving goodrow would make life so much easier, but it won't happen. acquiring eberle at 50% retained (2750000) would keep nyr under the cap, but would leave little room to make improvement outside of that. with the current roster and players moved to the taxi squad, they would have 325k. in this case, they could acquire a defenseman at around 1.125M (swapping the place of one of the rangers bottom 3 defenseman

It's amazing the disrespect that Jake gets. Jake has been on of the most consistent goal-scorers in the NHL. I'm not sure what people think it costs to get a guy who regularly scores 30 to 40 goals lol.

The issue for the Rangers is cap. If chytil actually does come back during the regular season, NYR are looking at $1.5m max at the TDL

The real question is why you would want Lebanc? He is truly awful
