So I understand the point here, but Faulk back to the Canes creates a tremendous amount of pairing misalignment. Slavin and Chatfield are the only defensive stabilizers. Burns, Skjei, Faulk, and Orlov all need help defensively.

Thats fair blues have that problem right now. its so bad that Scotty P and Kessel have to make up for Faulk, Krug and Leddy. and in the past year Faulk was relied on to be the only defensive stalwart outside of Parayko

Faulk’s final year with the Canes, Pesce was playing LHD with Faulk and it worked quite well. Chatfield and Orlov both comfortable with their offsides. Its an oddity, but Canes could more easily make a LHD Offensive defenseman work better than another RHD.

Hmm i think you guys should go after Roy or Montour
i think theyd be a very good fit there if Pesce leaves and they can both play on either side as well

Or a good option might be Lindell from Dallas

And you somehow imagine Chabot wouldn't exacerbate all those existing problems?

He's a very good offensive Dman, but he cannot defend or stay healthy and his contract his not good. Plus, his partial NTC kicks in next season. So he makes our main problem worse in about every way. We'll keep Leddy's half as long contract at half the price and our potential 24 lottery pick, thanks.
