Pickering is an interesting pick-up. He's probably a top 2 prospect for the Pens. That said, he definitely needs to fill out and work on his defensive game. Right now, I see a future NHLer, but I'm skeptical that he can turn into anything more than a #4D.

I would prefer it if the Flames could get more in a trade.
